Pregnancy toxemia, also known as ovine ketosis, lambing sickness, twin lamb disease, or domzietke, is a widespread, usually fatal disease of sheep. The disease also occurs occasionally in goats, and the clinical course is very similar to that in sheep.

A review of heat stroke and its complications is presented. The etiology, physiology, clinical signs, secondary complications, diagnosis, treatment, necropsy results and prevention of heat stroke are discussed. A clinical case is then presented to illustrate the disorder of heat stroke.

Many methods of artificial insemination and estus synchronization have been developed for swine in the last fifty years. This field study incorporates some of these methods into a commercially profitable situation. On two separate farms, sows were given rpegnant mare serum gonadotrophin (PMSG) and human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) after weaning.

Ureaplasma has recently been associated with several bovine disease conditions. It has been isolated from field cases of calf pneumonia, keratoconjunctivitis, mastitis, seminal vesiculitis, granular vulvitis, endometritis, salpingitis, and abortions. The role ureaplasma plays in each of these conditions is still under study, but its part in bovine reproductive disease is becoming better understood
