How Does Your Corn Dry?

When will your field corn be ready for harvest? For safe storage as ear corn over winter and spring, the moisture content shouldn't be more than 21 percent. If you prefer to harvest earlier- say, at about 30 percent moisture- artificial drying is necessary for safe storage. But when does your corn reach either of these stages?
