Ames Forester: Volume 89, Issue 1
On Arbor Day, Iowa State University and Trees Forever held a tree planting with students from Northwood Elementary School in Ames. In attendance from Iowa State were Chris Feeley, John Smith, and Lydia Brawner.
My alarm clock sounds at six in the morning, the beginning of another beautiful, but long day. Although this seems way too early for most college students, I consider it sleeping-in. On days that I’m not on the ISU campus (Mon, Wed, & Fri), I rise from bed at the crack of dawn (5a.m.) to go to work as a CNA.
The Department of Forestry at Iowa State University provides students with countless opportunities, acknowledgments, and awards. The opportunity to gain membership into the national forestry honor society, xi sigma pi, is one such benefit.
