dc.description.abstract <p>The Common Cry of Urban Development, "if you want to make an omelette, you've got to break some eggs," definitely applies to Boston's Big Dig, which has been an eggbeater in the heart of Boston for the past 20 years. Today the benefits of the demolition are clearly apparent in the open spaces of the Rose Kennedy Greenway that now stands in place of the elevated Central Artery.</p>
