With a mission to advance excellence in education, scholarship and innovation, and their global applications, the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) is a professional and educational association of scholars, educators, and students in the textile, apparel, and merchandising disciplines in higher education.

Abstract

The intent of this research was to provide a sufficient framework for business decisions in knitwear companies when purchasing knitting technology. As knitting machines are a large capital investment, it is important for business owners to understand the benefits and disadvantages to upgrading technology.
