Abstract

This document details an Extension program developed by Christa Hartsook, graduate student in Agricultural Education and Studies, for the fulfillment of her master’s degree. The Homegrown Lifestyle course trains acreage owners how to manage their acreages, grow food for themselves and perhaps provide a supplemental income. This program is also beneficial to those residents who desire to live on an acreage, but lack an agriculture upbringing to know best management practices for common agricultural challenges on a small farm.
