An uploading system that collects multimedia objects with significant size and hard deadline is described in this thesis. Such systems can be used in hospitals to track procedures, in law enforcement to support "in car" digital video management, in security system to manage video surveillances, etc. Our contributions are that we formulated a new problem of uploading system in LAN and developed a novel framework to ensure the high dependability. The performance modeling of our video uploading system is presented with experimental results to illustrate the feasibility of the design and implementation.
