dc.description.abstract	<p>A tan coon hound was referred to Stange Memorial Clinic at Iowa State University on February 14 in a tetraplegic state. The hound had been hunted for 12 days prior to a fight with a raccoon on February 7. In his courageous attempt to kill the raccoon with a steel pipe, the hunter accidently hit the hound on the head.</p>
