Abstract

Agricultural education provides students with opportunities to learn and gain hands-on skills to prepare students for one of the largest industries in the world. Specifically, at Milford Senior High School in Milford Delaware their agricultural program consists of over 400 students and four different pathways for students to complete. In March 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Milford Senior High School was forced to shut down and teach remotely. This created a need to adapt the curriculum of the Foundations of Animal Science class so to better assist students in an online learning platform. The standards were kept the same but scope and sequence, lesson plans and activities needed to be changed to fit the new learning environment. The curriculum that was adapted gave students opportunities to collaborate, explore and utilize the technology they had to be able to successfully learn online.
