Alpha Trailers Painting Rotisserie

Abstract

Problem Statement: Alpha HD Trailers designs and manufactures semi-trailers. Alpha has run into some issues within the painting process of these trailers. Currently, the employees must crawl underneath/around the trailers to get all the spots on the trailer painted. This process is inefficient as the painters take a lot of time walking around and crawling underneath. Also, the process is taxing on the employees and their bodies due to all the reaching around and crawling. We have been tasked with presenting a product that can pick up and rotate the trailers to decrease the time it takes to paint each trailer, improve the quality of the paint jobs, and help to promote a safer and healthier environment for the employees.
