This thesis is a design for the Des Moines Higher Education Collaborative building located on the corner of Grand Avenue and 12th Street in Des Moines, Iowa. The building is part of the Western Gateway project, which is aimed at urban renewal in downtown Des Moines. The design for the building is based on parameters set by the Higher Education Collaborative, Des Moines civic goals, and urban revitalization theory.
