Abstract
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood neurodevelopmental disorders in the US. ADHD can cause impulse control, hyperactivity, and attention deficit that degrades one's ability to process, understand and learn information. AspireMe is an iOS mobile app that supports its users to stay on top of their everyday tasks and takes care of the emotional aspects of the user via social interaction features. The users of this app are mainly high school students, but pre-teens (7th or 8th graders), college students, and adults can also use this app. I have conducted research to identify user needs and wants. Six participants were selected to participate in the usability testing of the 'AspireMe' prototype to perform six tasks. Overall, they completed many of the tasks with a 100% success rate. They rated the app 3.5 and suggested additional design changes to improve its functionality. They also mentioned that it has excellent potential to solve their problem and stay on top of their goal. Most of the users thought sharing information, video, and tips with friends and blocking the internet features were unique about this system. A competitive analysis also proved to have an excellent potential for AspireMe App in the current market. This iOS app plans to have the basic, premium, and business versions of the product with additional funding in the future. The goal of AspireMe is to gain optimum user satisfaction with continuous improvement in design and services.
