Abstract

Vibriosis in cattle was first reported by McFadyean and Stockman in cases of abortion in England in 1913. Later, from 1918 to 1923, Smith and his associates reported on cases of vibriosis as a cause of abortion or genital disease in cattle was eclipsed in the years that followed by the great interest in the study and contro of brucellosis.
