dc.description.abstract Alzheimer’s disease is a debilitating neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. Despite extensive research conducted in recent years, a definitive cure for Alzheimer’s disease has not been found. Gene therapy is a relatively new option of treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, with the potential to target the disease from a genetic level. This literature review goes over some causes of Alzheimer’s disease and how advancements in gene therapy can be beneficial for treating or preventing Alzheimer’s disease.
