Abstract

Brandly in his extensive study listed the diseases transferred to man from poultry. From the epidemiologic point of view, such infections may be roughly divided into two groups: (a) Diseases acquired by man through handling live birds or living in the vicinity of poultry raising establishments. (b) Infections transmitted from birds to man during preparation or consumption of edible poultry products.
