Preventing Software Piracy in a Global World
Iowa State University is creating the next generation of software gurus. Those best and brightest will be creating life-changing software and it's important that their intellectual property is protected on a global scale. As intellectual property rights stand, the laws are often not respected or not in place. The world is going to be increasingly connected; thus, our world needs to protect developers’ work and desire to innovate. This project will look at the feasibility of global intellectual property rights and what companies and people can do to protect themselves. To do that, research will be conducted on what plausible remedies have been previously suggested utilizing articles from various reputable parties. This research has the potential to involve interviews and surveys to find out more about current issues and attitudes. This research will be complete by the time of presentation.
