dc.description.abstract <p>Hemp has is a new addition to the agricultural programs of the Desert Southwest region of the United States. In 2019 hemp was made legal to grow and many growers tried and failed to produce a hemp crop. This paper covers some of the needed information to grow hemp in the Desert Southwest. It covers the benefits of hemp, challenges of the Desert Southwest, hemp biology and common pests and diseases that will target hemp.</p>
