South Carolina Tractor Operation and Safety Career Development Event Guide

Abstract

The purpose of developing a video presentation and pamphlet was to assist out‐of‐state and new teachers with the tractor operation and safety Career Development Event (CDE). This CDE is unique to the state of South Carolina in the sense that there is not a national competition and the state FFA decides the rules and how the event is run. The video and pamphlet help teachers see firsthand how the competition operates. The video and pamphlet showcases how the CDE is run and scored, as well as provide tips and tricks for the event. It will also help new and existing teachers, who may have questions on how the CDE operates, without having to see it in person for the first time on competition day.
