Abstract
This is a study which was conducted to evaluate K-6 Reading and Language Arts software. The study used an evaluation instrument which was an updated version of a software evaluation form developed by McCormick and Boney (1990). It was concluded that some reading and language arts software used for young children in grade levels K-6 contain some form of gender, ethnic, or cultural bias. The study also showed that those software that were identified as programs which included cultural information, aside from that of Anglo-American cultures, did not give attention to religious and/or cultural festivals.
