Abstract
This study looks at the computer expert's experience with use of the Internet and issues of personal privacy. The researcher talked to twenty computer experts who shared their experiences both through a formal Q-method sort and a one-on-one interview. The study posited that the computer experts would have no concerns with privacy because of both their expertise and ability to manipulate the Internet to their advantage. The study. however, discovered that computer experts are very concerned with the issue of privacy, especially with financial matters. Overall, the study suggests more needs to be done in both the public and private sectors to address the need for privacy guidelines in this new electronic forum.
