Abstract

IT HAS been difficult for some people to visualize the need of acquiring public forest areas in a highly agricultural state such as Iowa. The state should not allow its tremendously valuable agricultural land resources to deteriorate to such an extent as to require the setting aside of large state or national forests in order to avoid the complete dissolution of these lands. However, Iowa has its public forestry problems much the same as many other states.
