Abstract
ChatterBot is an AI-powered virtual assistant designed to revolutionize call management by addressing the growing problem of spam, telemarketing, and unwanted calls. This innovative solution integrates natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML) algorithms to intelligently handle incoming calls, offering users a seamless way to prioritize important communications while minimizing disruptions. The project involved extensive user research, gathering insights from professionals in India and the USA, to understand the frustrations and challenges associated with call management. Based on the findings, ChatterBot was designed to interact autonomously with callers, presenting users with actionable insights such as call summaries, caller context, and options to decline, accept, or engage in smart conversations without direct interaction. Prototyped on platforms like Figma and InVision, the app incorporates user-friendly features, including real-time notifications, customizable settings, and voice mimicry for personalized call handling. The system emphasizes privacy and security, ensuring data is handled responsibly. Evaluated through user testing with IT professionals and business users, ChatterBot received positive feedback for its efficiency and potential to enhance productivity by reducing call-related interruptions. The final product aims to deliver a practical, ethical, and impactful solution to streamline communication in an increasingly connected world.
