dc.description.abstract The main goals of this research were to determine exactly what type of distribution is produced when holes are drilled with standard high speed twist drills, document that the distribution is not normal, and therefore that standard capability analysis method does not give accurate results. In addition, it was desired to develop a procedure that does give accurate numbers when a capability analysis is performed on the actual distribution of the drilled holes.
