dc.description.abstract	<p>It has been more than 50 years since the beginning of professional forest education in the United States. During that time the scope of forestry has become wider and wider, and an ever-increasing variety of career opportunities has been thrown open to the forestry graduate. Recently we have heard much discussion on the subject of forest education, particularly in regard to specialization in one of the many fields of forestry work. With this in mind, we present the following articles in the hope that they might provide some food for thought.</p>
