Little has changed in academic discourse since ancient studies were passed about on scrolls, but the changeover to a visual as well as textual scholarship is long overdue and the migration of text output onto the web changes nothing. What is needed in scholarship is a new medium and a new evaluation system for scholarly work and this new system is the focus of this paper.
