Abstract
The MBTI serves many useful purposes. This study is concerned primarily with understanding the results of the MBTI, how we can use it for ourselves, how to use it at work, and occupational implications for construction management. Because we develop preferences for certain functions we tend to limit ourselves. The MBTI helps to identify this, and indicate where we need to be sensitive. This information helps us to select the appropriate function, which may not be a preference, for the situation. It suggests a thorough decision making process utilizing all the functions. The MBTI also aids in improving communication, and understanding. Similar types naturally get along better than dissimilar types. Though opposites do not attract, they can compliment one another if they cooperate, allowing organizations to take advantage of the diversity. Finally, the
MTBI is useful in identifying potential fields of study, and occupations where our preferences are most likely to be satisfied.
