Abstract
Rapid developments in hardware technology have made high performance computing platforms an easily available resource to tackle complex problems. In contrast, development of application software to aid parallelization of existing programs has been slow. Contemporary efforts have largely focussed on general purpose automated parallelizers that use well-known compiler techniques. This motivated us to develop Parallelization Agent, an interactive parallelizer based on novel blend of techniques for class specific parallelization. In this thesis, we describe the techniques we have adopted and present preliminary results of parallellization of programs using the Agent.
