dc.description.abstract <p>This report presents finite element models of longitudinal glulam timber deck and glulam timber girder bridges. Programs were developed using the ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL) that is available in ANSYS finite element commercial software, to be used as analytical tools in the assessment of these timber bridges. Six case studies were undertaken to validate the models developed and corroborate the results, obtained using the programs, with experimental observations.</p>
