dc.description.abstract The objective of this study was to develop a design methodology for a concrete liner inside a manhole against structural failures. A Portland cement based mortar using micro-silica as additive was developed and liner prototypes were cast and tested to determine its structural capacity against moment inducing line load. The newly designed mortar is herein referred to as PC+MS. Tests were done on both PC+MS and HAC mix to evaluate their relative volumetric stability and durability in acid environment.
