Sandwiches for Your Spring Menu

Sandwiches have been accepted for so long as a simple-to-prepare, always-appropriate-to-serve food, that they are usually the first thing we think of when we plan a spring entertainment where food is to be served. The name of this type of dish originated with the Earl of Sandwich, who, it is said, was so fond of the gaming table that he had his cook prepare this "portable food" in order that he might play and eat at the same time.

At any rate, we would not have much hopes for the girl who does not have dreams and build castles. The most important part is to build castles and then see what we can do about them.

And yet, it is this· industry which has been slower than others in accepting the modern equipment provided for it. Realizing this, Iowa State College offered a Home Economics Short Course in Gas and Electrical Equipment from March 19 to 24 to people interested in these equipment problems of the homemaker.
