Abstract
This presentation is an exploration of subclass characteristic persistence between two groups of consecurively manufactured breech faces. These groups of breech faces were manufactured at different times by the same cutting tools. It has been shown by previous studies that there are subclass characteristics present on the breech faces. Evaluation of the subclass carryover was done using the CMC algorithm comparing group A to group B in a pariwise manner. Results have shown that there are some carrover but not as much as one would assume. This could be due to the breech face manufacturing methods since those used are similar to a firearms manufacturer but not identical.
