dc.description.abstract | <p>We present the results of a LEED study of the structures of Au and Pt films grown on Pd(110). We observe both (1x2) and (1x3) overlayer structures depending upon the coverage and deposition temperature. We explain the coverage and deposition temperature dependence of these reconstructions in terms of basic factors which control film growth processes.</p> | |
