Abstract
On September 1, 1967 an eight year old spayed female Dachshund was presented to the Iowa State university Veterinary Clinic with a history of progressively losing condition. The owners remarked that she had been in good health and had just begun to lose weight recently. The also stated that her appetite was poor and that she had frequent periods of constipation characterized by scanty amounts of clay-colored feces.
