dc.description.abstract <p>We advance the state-of-the-art in cascading failure simulation through an integrated modeling of system dynamics and protection coupled with data processing that analyzes the simulation results. An enhanced version of the TS3ph-CAPE simulator is used to produce the cascading data. The cascading data is processed to produce metrics describing the cascading size and risk, and to identify critical components contributing most to the cascading risk.</p>
