dc.description.abstract	<p>A bomb process for preparing zirconium and hafnium metals with calcium by the reduction of their tetrafluorides is described. A detailed method of preparing the high purity tetrafluorides is presented and the purity and physical properties of the metals obtained are discussed.</p>
