Lymphosarcoma, caused by the feline leukemia virus, is the most common neoplasm of the feline species. The condition occurs in cats of all ages and usually runs a very brief but fatal course. Transmission is both horizontal and vertical with the virus being shed in saliva, urine, feces, and milk. Most frequently observed symptoms include weight loss, depression, anorexia, and fever.
