dc.description.abstract <p>EPA has notified the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship that some problems with compliance with pre-harvest intervals for fungicides applied to wheat in Kansas were discovered this year. Some wheat was embargoed until tests could be completed to determine residue levels. Although Iowa has a small number of wheat acres compared with Kansas and other nearby states, pesticide applicators and growers should check the pre-harvest intervals (PHIs) for any wheat fungicides that have been applied.</p>
