A dwarf mutation was found in a line derived from radiated 'Hodgson' grown at the Bruner Farm near Ames, IA. The mutant plants were 6 to 10 cm tall, had necrotic leaves, and produced no seeds. twenty-four plants randomly picked from segregating plots were progeny-tested in a greenhouse and in the field.
