| dc.description.abstract | <p>Corncobs can be used as cattle feed. Cobs will make shelled or ground ear corn go farther. But it takes more work to grind the cobs and get the steers to eat them. Feeding cobs might pay when feed is scarce and high priced. But it does not pay under present cattle prices and feed and labor costs. That's the principal conclusion we have reached from our 1946-47 cattle feeding tests.</p> | |
