Society of American Foresters Convention 2000: A Monumental Event

Abstract

<p>On November 15th, 2000, 22 students and a recent alumnus (myself) from the Iowa State Forestry Department boarded a plane bound for Washington, DC. After a bumpy landing over the Potomac River, these Mid-western rubber-neckers crammed themselves and all of their belongings onto the monorail subway. A long stroll from the monorail station, uphill, finally put the students where they wanted to be, at the Washington, DC Hilton Hotel, the site of the 2000 Society of American Foresters National Convention.</p>
