Abstract

Every pesticide is labeled with instructions on how to properly use the product. A label is the written, printed, or graphic matter on, or attached to the pesticide container. Labels mean different things depending on your point of view. To the buyer or user, the label is a source of facts on how to use the product correctly and legally. To the manufacturer it is a license to sell. To the state or federal government, it is a way to control the distribution, storage, sale, use, and disposal of the product. To physicians, the pesticide label is a source of information on proper treatment for poisoning cases.
