Abstract
Problem Statement: ISU Transporation provides a rental fleet to everyone that works for or attends the university. They have sedans, SUVs, vans, and trailers available to use. However, they need a new building due to the lack of sufficient space to properly operate to their full potential. An improved flow of operations is needed within the design. The current layout causes wasted time in terms of servicing vehicles in-between rentals. With the current space, there are very limited options to improve in terms of vehicle turnaround. In their current layout, the offices are separated from the Shop . This causes problems with communication within their team. A new building will offer more space, the ability to improve their work process and communication and reduce the turnaround time per vehicle after a return.
