Abstract
This study will explore how the ability to understand and utilize humor affects the future success of college students. The sample will be drawn from lists of current and past students in ISU’s Comedy College Honors Seminar. I will use survey responses and case study research to get student assessments of how Comedy College affected their careers. I will be reaching out to Comedy College graduates to get their thoughts, and to see how humor is implemented in their lives. I will also review the literature to look into the research linking humor with career growth. My main goal is to find out if the ability to use humor is an advantage for college students in their future endeavors such as public speaking, interviewing, leading a team, communicating ideas or career growth.
