| dc.description.abstract | By many standards, 2015 was an exceptional year for Iowa corn production. USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service has estimated a 192-bushel-per-acre yield for Iowa. However, even with this high yield, farms experienced the squeeze of tight margins because of declining commodity prices. Corn grain yields are not the best indicators of profitability. | |
