| dc.description.abstract | <p>The matter of using fungicides to prevent certain parasitic diseases of plants is no longer a theory. Experiments made in many parts of this country and Europe show that diseases like Apple Scab, Leaf-spot Disease of the Cherry; Powdery Mildew, Strawberry Leaf-blight, Black Rot of Grapes; Potato Rot, and others are amenable to treatment.</p> <p>There is still much to be learned about spraying, especially plants placed under different conditions. The following experiments were made during the season of 1891.</p> | |
