Abstract

Most anesthetic problems can be avoided or minimized by proper pre-anesthetic patient evaluation, care in administering anesthetic agents, and frequent patient monitoring during the anesthetic period. Problems usually result from equipment failure or are respiratory or cardiovascular in nature.
