dc.description.abstract <p>With victory gardens to provide vegetables and small fruits, and a shortage of supplies and equipment for home canning, frozen food lockers may see greatly increased use in the home food preservation program. Frozen foods retain more of their natural flavor and color and as much of their original food value as products preserved by other methods.</p>
