dc.description.abstract <p>We can increase food production by growing more acres of the necessary crops, but we are inclined to forget that high acre yields can often contribute more toward total production than shifts in crop acres. High acre yields also mean less labor and machinery costs per ton of hay or bushel of grain produced. And that’s an important consideration during this war emergency.</p>
