dc.description.abstract <p>There are no rigid rules that can be established as to which type of suture material should be used in each and every situation. However, analysis of the wound and consideration of the chemical and physical characteristics of the suture and awareness of the biological reactions of the various suture materials will usually indicate one material to be superior.</p>
