dc.description.abstract | <p>Hooped structures are a viable alternative for feeding grow-finish pigs. They offer versatility, reduced fixed costs, and reduced risk but require more feed and a plentiful, low-cost supply of bedding. Several research questions need to be answered, but it appears that hooped structures have a place in Iowa swine production.</p> | |
